This article examines literacy and numeracy as means of actualizing the imago Dei among Christian Religious Education (CRE) teachers in Ambon City Elementary Schools. Employing a qualitative-phenomenological approach and theological-pedagogical (theopedagogical) analysis, this study explores how language capacity (literacy) and mathematical reasoning (numeracy) manifest God's image in humanity and require development through education. The reflective findings indicate that literacy represents the logos dimension of the imago Dei, enabling humans to communicate and interpret reality, whereas numeracy reflects the ordo dimension, empowering humans to comprehend the order of creation. CRE teachers in Ambon bear theological responsibility to integrate literacy and numeracy development into their teaching to facilitate the actualization of the imago Dei in students. This research contributes to the development of a theological-pedagogical framework that repositions CRE teachers' literacy-numeracy competence not merely as a matter of educational policy, but as a divine calling to educate the whole person.
