Abstract

This research explores the theological foundation of friendship as a cornerstone for Christian character education within Indonesia's multicultural context during the postmodern era. Through a qualitative exploratory methodology, this study examines how theological concepts of friendship can be integrated into Christian Religious Education (CRE) curricula to foster values of diversity. The research analyzes the intersection between Christian theological anthropology and Indonesian multicultural dynamics, proposing a paradigmatic shift from tolerance-based to friendship-based educational approaches. Findings indicate that theological friendship concepts, rooted in Trinitarian relationality and biblical narratives, provide robust frameworks for developing inclusive character education that maintains Christian theological integrity while embracing cultural diversity. The study contributes to PAK pedagogical development by offering theoretical foundations and practical implementations for multicultural character education in contemporary Indonesian educational contexts.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi fondasi teologis persahabatan sebagai landasan pendidikan karakter Kristiani dalam konteks multikultural Indonesia di era postmodern. Melalui metodologi kualitatif eksploratif, studi ini mengkaji bagaimana konsep teologis persahabatan dapat diintegrasikan dalam kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) untuk menumbuhkan nilai-nilai kebhinekaan. Penelitian menganalisis titik temu antara antropologi teologis Kristen dan dinamika multikultural Indonesia, mengusulkan pergeseran paradigma dari pendekatan berbasis toleransi menuju persahabatan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa konsep persahabatan teologis yang berakar pada relasionalitas Trinitarian dan narasi biblis memberikan kerangka kerja yang kokoh untuk mengembangkan pendidikan karakter inklusif yang mempertahankan integritas teologis Kristen sambil merangkul keberagaman budaya. Studi berkontribusi pada pengembangan pedagogis PAK dengan menawarkan fondasi teoretis dan implementasi praktis pendidikan karakter multikultural dalam konteks pendidikan Indonesia kontemporer.
