Abstract

This article explores the theological concept of deep incarnation as a framework for addressing the climate crisis in the Anthropocene epoch. Drawing from contemporary eco-theological discourse, particularly the work of Niels Henrik Gregersen and Elizabeth Johnson, this study examines how the incarnation of Christ extends beyond humanity to encompass all creation. The research employs a systematic theological methodology, integrating biblical exegesis, patristic sources, and contemporary ecological science. The article argues that deep incarnation provides a robust theological foundation for environmental ethics by affirming God's redemptive presence within the entire cosmos. This eco-Christological approach challenges anthropocentric interpretations of salvation and calls for a renewed understanding of humanity's role as co-creators in the planet's healing. The findings suggest that deep incarnation theology offers transformative potential for Christian environmental engagement in the Anthropocene.
