Contemporary Christian education faces a fundamental challenge in grounding its ethical dimension within a coherent theological framework. This article argues that the church as a formative community provides the essential theological foundation for ethics in Christian education. Through library research with conceptual analysis, this study demonstrates that moral formation cannot be reduced to individual cognitive processes but requires embedding within ecclesial practices and communal narratives. The framework integrates four dimensions: ecclesiological identity, communal moral formation, the dialectic between personal piety and social responsibility, and pedagogical implications. This reconceptualization shifts Christian education from mere knowledge transmission toward transformative character formation within the believing community. The article concludes that effective ethical education requires pedagogical designs rooted in the church's formative practices and narrative identity.
